Dry cereal as a snack
Tue, 06/5/07 9:00 AM

Of course many people eat Rice Chex ( and the like ) as a snack, as in dry without mile. Awhile back I seem to remember when Kelloggs tried to market some of their cereal ( Corn Pops and Apple Jacks are two I remember ) as cereal one can eat as an anytime snack without the milk. They came in canisters and this Corn Pops/ Apple Jacks were a bit bigger than what came out of the normal cereal box. They were around for a few years but I know its been at least 5 years since I last seen them and then it was at Dollar Tree. Anybody else remember them? Any other cereal you eat, right out of the box? Me, its more/less Corn Pops

Hello All, I love Kellogg's Frosted Mini-Wheats with a Dr. Pepper. My kids used to loved Corn Pops. My son's current cereal snack is Yogurt Burst Cheerios, the Blueberry flavour. Take Care, Fieldthistle

Quaker Oats oatmeal squares, the brown sugar version (blue box). Best cereal on the market. I don't use milk anyway, but I don't even wait to pour these in a bowl. I eat them right out of the box.

I do that with any cereal (except hot ones) when there's no milk in the house. Not my first choice.

I eat Wheat Chex, Capt. Crunch (original only), and many others out of the box. I buy a new one of a different variety when my current stash is about depleted. I try to stick to whole grains & added fruit, etc., whenever possible.

I like the taste of Life cereal dry. I love frosted flakes, but with all the sugar I have an immediate sugar high !

Spoon sized Shreaded Wheat for me, great with beer. I had the little kid from next door visiting me one day he was 5 or 6 at the time. I was eating these as a snack after splitting some wood and he asked for some, I told him they were great with peanut butter on them, make little sandwiches. He loved them but his mother cursed me for weeks. Chow Jim

Kix, Corn Pops, Coco Puff, Chex, and Cap' N Crunch I have eaten without milk before. Usually out of boredom. As in I didn't want to go through with adding milk. Just opened the box and ate out of it and that's fine for me since nobody else will eat the cereal.

I prefer to eat Cracklin Oat Bran, Quaker Oh's!, Corn Pops and Fruit Loops as snacks. Although in college, I used to go through countless amounts of Smart Start cereal...its sooo good dry!

I still favor the Breakfast of Champions, wet or dry. Also those Mini-Wheats are very addictive.

Kellogg's mini wheats-Vanilla Frosted or Strawberry work well. Also I agree about Quaker Oat Squares, but add the new Quaker Life with chocolate
