i saw a cooking show on PBS the other day and they made a quick sandwich where instead of using bread you used Eggo waffles. She buttered two slices and added ham and cheese (or whatever you'd like) then she toasted it on a pan like a grilled cheese. I keep meaning to try it but I always forget to buy waffles!

Pancake batter with your sandwich innards will work in one of those grills with the sandwich cutter-in-halfer if you use non stick spray on both sides, too. I get rid of so many leftovers instead of making omelets these days.
