My vote is for Cornell-style Bar-BQ chicken. As long as it isn't "hurried" during the cooking process, there is nothing better. Of course look how biased I am. Wally Cornell '67

before I moved to Phoenix I had never had chicken like they make at this chain restarant called "El Pollo Loco". it's got lime juice and paprika on it... and some other spices....it's baked. I guess it is regional??

Rando, El Pollo Loco is a Western U S FF Chain. They grill the chicken rather than bake it. There is a thread that talks about this outfit down in the fast food forum, if you are interested in more info about them. We used to eat their chicken fairly often in SoCal.

There used to be a really good chicken place in the main mall in Springfield IL. It was called Chick Fil X. Tried to get there as much as I could when I came to town, but that was often on Sundays and for some particular reason they were closed every Sunday. Then they closedd down altogether. It was just a fond memory for a long time until I discovered they had moved to a mall in Racine WI. Dont remember the name of the mall. But was visiting a friend and going to the cinema and afterwards went tot he mall to find food. Really surprised to see it there. So if you are in southeast WI you should sheck it out. It is a fair distance off of I-94.
