Pollo Tropical

I've always enjoyed this South Florida chain which goes as far north as Orlando. Does anyone know if there are any outside Florida?

there's some in Vegas and Southern California..

I checked out the menu at their website,and it looked new and different to me.Wish they had some in Texas.Yum.

I got this thread confused with another recent one on Pollo Loco, so I looked at both websites.

They look like similar concepts. Pollo Tropical is concentrated in South Florida, with franchises in Puerto Rico, Northern Florida, NJ and NYC. Pollo Loco seems to be SoCal based with outposts in Nevada and Arizona.

We can only imagine what will happen if "Loco" and "Tropical" converge, but based on current data it would likely be someplace over Texas. Brace yourselves, feathers may fly.

I wish we had one in Kentucky - we just came back from Delray Beach, FL, and I have to say Pollo Tropical is excellent for fast food.  If anyone has any of their "copycat" recipes I'd like to see it/them.  I've looked on the Internet and found a few, but am really looking for their sauce recipes and the Mango Tea recipe. 

They just opened a couple in the Atlanta suburbs.  Haven't tried 'em yet.

We had one on Route 46 in Hackensack for a few years, but all the New Jersey ones were closed down a couple of months ago. Wasn't the same after they got rid of the Ropa Vieja anyway.

I stopped a couple of times at the one in Jupiter, Fl I wasn't very impressed but maybe I didn't order the right thing. I did like the Mango tea.
