White Mountains: Polly's Pancake Parlor was a great out of the way place to enjoy a scenic breakfast ing the mountains. The main dining area overlooks a meadow and the mountains form the backdrop. That said you'll find ono cakes at Polly's. It is a converted old farmhouse with the usual bric-a-brac on the walls of old antique farm stuff. Try the cakee sampler and you'll get blueberry- corn & coconut-buckwheat & walnuts on a plate. Pure maple sugar and maple sugar granuales are already on the table for your individual slathering. Even more unique is that your server is the pancake cook. They cook em all on a long griddle facing the dining area. Reminds me of Rick Wakeman at an old yes concert the way its set up. Manchester: Red Arrow Diner. After all the hype on the Food Network and all the RF forum rave reviews all I gotta say is GO. Drive-Fly-Walk-Crawl what ever it takes to get your okole there. The food is incredible. 100% comfort. The pork pie was a creamy blend of spuds & spices . The deep fried chicken livers came with brown gravey and peppers & onions heaped on em. The Diner Fingers (Twinkies) are indeed better than the Hostess originals and the brownie chocolate death by cocoa injection broke da mouth brah. Rye Harbor: Lobster Shanty. Forget em name.
