Ice Cream Parlors and "soft cream" Fri, 08/31/07 11:26 AM (permalink)
As a very young child, before moving here to the Jersey shore, my mom took me to several ice cream parlors when we wemt on shopping trips in Union City,NJ. They served something called SOFT CREAM. It wasn't Carvel or dairy cream stuff, but sort of a thinner ice cream served various ways. My mom says they were popular in the 40's. My favorite was soft cream and bananas. I don't remember the names of those establishments nor have I met anyone who remembers "Soft cream"
Does anyone remember???
