Peppo's Subs in Palos Hills, Illinois

Located on 106th and Roberts Road. Their sandwiches are made fresh every time. They have a secret ingredient called "Guts" or "Spike" that I have tried to duplicate (and the owners are very tight-lipped about the ingredients) but to no avail. This is their signature relish that is out of this world. All served on Gonnella bread and you have a mighty fine sandwich the other "chain-stores" can't compare to. This place has been there for thirty plus years and goes by word of mouth advertising. When you go you might want to visit the local lobster house first and get a bib. The spike is very messy and will ruin a work shirt... for those white collar employees!

Yes, it is their own recipe though. Not store bought. It has all the traditional stuff like onion, tomato, and cucumber but secret ingredients the owners/employees swear that they cannot divulge. quote:Originally posted by Michael Hoffman They put some sort of relish on an Italian sub?
