Real Italian Bread in New Jersey

I'm an Italian who loves a great crusty loaf that is also long on flavor...hard to find hear in central Jersey...not like the bread I remember growing up with in North Jersey.....
Bread loving Italians(and anyone else)...what is your favorite Italian bread...and how close is a great love to the ocean county area
