Does anyone know where I can find a restaurant that sells a good BAKED CUSTARD dessert in Northern VA? No, not frozen custard. I'm looking for any bakery, mom/pop place, chain or 5 star restaurant, etc that has a decent custard dessert on their menu. Please help!

Welcome to Roadfood, terratoo! You know I could swear I saw it on a menu in Front Royal in summer '06, but I'm sorry I can't remember the place. I'll poke around on the web and post back if I find it. Good luck!

I've only found it in individual servings at a dim sum place in Rosslyn.

Have you tryed looking in the bakery section/cafe at Wegmans? I'm fairly certain I seen it there when last visiting that area. Chow Jim

Hi terratoo, That doesn't sound like it but honestly there are times I pay a lot of attention to a place's name and times when I don't... and I can say in No. Va. I didn't pay attention, sorry. The tip on dim sum is good, most Chinese places with dim sum do a baked custard dessert in individual portions. Yum. p.s. I did poke around online and the only name that sounded familiar was "Wynn's"... Hmmmm.
