Is this place still open? (Winnie is west of Beaumont and east of Houston on I-10, by the way.) I went to its website, http://www.al-ts.com, and all it said was "Powered by Apache" or similar just like a website that is not operational. Is it just the website that is having problems, or has the restaurant closed, too? I certainly hope not! I had my first crawfish platter there two years ago! (I also like the name of the city since it's also the name of my favorite television character.  )

It was there a month ago. I stop there on the way home from the casinos. They have been there a long time and are always full. Short of a fire or a hurricane I don't think they will close anytime soon. I'll check it out in the near future, cold weather makes me start carving a big bowl of gumbo and some boudin balls.
