Anyone remember these bacon snacks?

In the 1970s, there was a snack chip that was shaped like pieces of bacon. I think that the name was some play on "bacon," but I can't remember the specifics. Can anyone please help? Thanks!

Westley, I totally remember those and often think about them. They had an airy, pork-rind texture with brownish-red stripes painted on each chip (so each rectangular chip looked like a strip of bacon). Growing up in Memphis, they sold them at my father's favorite seafood shop, and I'd always go with him in the car. He'd buy them for me, and I'd have half the bag eaten by the time we got home. I'd be surprised if they made it to 1980, because I don't remember seeing them ever again. I found a similar tasting chip in Greece last year but sadly not the same texture...

Pamela Thanks, Pamela. That looks a lot like them. The ones I was thinking of were from the 1970s and were made by a big chip producers. I think I found them....Bacon Nips. They look kinda gross now! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQD41hrHRQk
