Tonka Grill & BBQ, Lake Minnetonka

Dinner tonight was at the Tonka Grill & BBQ in Spring Park, MN across the street from Lake Minnetonka on County Rd 15. It is a small place with a parking garage. On arrival the garage was filled with BBQ smoke beckoning us in.

We had the Texas Beef BBQ Ribs half rack with salad, Texas toast and beans for $13.95 that was voted the best in the Twin Cities by Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine.



We also had the Baby Back BBQ Ribs with salad, Texas toast and new garlic mashed potatoes for $12.95.



Both were tasty and not dry. The meat stuck to the bone. The sauce was tangy but not too hot. I think they can compete with anyone. Just for an encore here is the pulled pork sandwich we had last year that BuddyRoadHouse lusted over.
