Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Edamame

Trader Joe's knows how to market interesting items that always seem to find their way into our shopping cart, and this dark chocolate-covered edamame is really fabulous. They crunch like nuts, and the dark chocolate (the real selling point for us, at least) is sweet but not too much. The soybeans are dry (obviously) and don't resemble the "boiled peanut" taste of regular edamame at all. A winning combination! We even used a large handful in a trail mix last week instead of M & M's, and it was really tasty.

Ann, I'm not even a huge fan of regular edamame in restaurants, but these crunchy bits are really good! And I think the dark chocolate used here is the same that TJ's uses for covering their espresso beans, toffee, pistachios, etc.

I received a tub of these for Christmas. I had so much sweets laying around from the holidays so I just put them away. They are still sitting in my pantry. Looks like I might have to open these up now.
