Davydd has a hot pizza page going on "Recipes etc" about cooking pizza on saturday nights I guess. But check out the San Francisco Chronical series about the best Bay Area pies... They have a writer who reports each Friday from a different parlor. Even if you don't live in SF, the comments are interesting...

          True..true...fresh homemade pizza! My mon made it for us a lot growing up...just the way her Italian mother taught her. We especially ate it on friday's during lent. Spinach pizza, a stuffed pie was a friday-lent special. I get hungry for it this time of year.
