spadoman - great limerick. Only problem with it is that it contains too much truth (at least in my case). You and ElsieT are going to convert me to like limericks.

I was trying to think of one for you, but every time I try to rhyme Texas, I just keep hearing that song "Take the Money and Run"

(he wants to know exactly what the FACTS IS)

Lone Star's a fine gal down in Texas
Who deserved a good limerick, in excess!
But Steve Miller saw to it
    That Elise couldn't do it
She was left in a state of perplexes.

You have done the impossible and rendered me speechless.

There once was a fellow called Bushie
      Who's requests often got pushie
      When his talk got rough
      his waitress said 'nough
and Knocked him right on his Tushie.

Sometimes ya gotta go with extremes to get a chuckle !!

Hmm. Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?

And Mr. Mayor, unfortunately, my "tushie" isn't near as well-padded as my front side.

So Bushie's backside's unpadded? Oh, hooey!
          It's nice n'round like a piglet's, so "Sooey!"
          Says Deputy Mayor Mcduff,
          in quite a doggie huff,
I'd love to bite it if it wasn't so chewy!

There once was a Roadfood forum
                Whose members broke all decorum
                Chili with beans?
                Hell no, you all screamed!
The rest of us said, "we'll ignore 'em!"

                    OK, I'll take the bait.......

There once was a man from Nantucket,
Who boiled blue crabs in a bucket.
Used a mallet as a whacker,
                    He also used a nutcracker,
But to get all the meat had to suck it.

Yes, lleechef, I agree. Whenever someone mentions limericks to me, that's the first one that comes to mind.

I'm just wondering how a nice girl like you knows that one!
