Hi what is in your lunch bag for work? Mine is a salad topped with turkey pepperoni and shredded jack cheese.

I'm a teacher,so it's cafeteria food or brown bag...so usually it's brown bag.I brought a nice homemade hamburger with a soup and vitamin water today...and then I see they're having breakfast for lunch in our cafeteria...French toast, scrambled eggs and suasage...Oh well.....

I brought both breakfast and lunch today. Breakfast was quick oatmeal that I pre-mixed at home and then nuked when I got here. I used a mixture of 1/2 milk and 1/2 water, salt, pepper and butter. Lunch today will be leftover Chinese chicken soup amplified with some homemade Jewish chicken soup of my own. I brown bag everyday because the cafeteria food is toxic and pricey.

I make a brown bag for my fiance once in awhile so he doesn't eat junk food for lunch every single day (he owns a hot dog place). I always pack a thermos of Jamaican seafood gumbo or some kind of fresh homemade soup and a piece of crusty bread.

Yes I am! I drive through there all the time and have stopped to shop there before we got our Target/Wal Mart combo. I saw a UFO there once, seriously! And a crazy one at that. Not to get too X-Files or anything, but I am reminded of that everytime I think about Washington!

I pretty much eat at the American Legion everyday. For $4 I get either a big bowl of soup, a sandwich and chips or a hot sandwich, fries and applesauce. I'm sure I could make my own lunch for under $4, but I don't think I would save enough to make it worthwhile.

In my brown bag today: A large fresh bagel sandwich made with genoa salami and spicey horseradish mustard...a vitamin water and a microwaveable soup, and a banana. I felt this was better than our school cafeteria's mystery meat chicken nuggets and greasy fries.Of course, these days,my brown bag is a stay-fresh lunch container!

These days something from South Beach, Weight Watchers, or Lean Cuisine, plus some fruit and V-8...bleah.. but it keeps me out of the cafeteria at work and ours has some very fine and very fattenting food cooked by a coupla southern gentlemen who know their way around a kitchen..

Just out of curiosity, there is an American Legion by my house and it packed on Wednesday nights. Do they serve something special on certain nights?

I think each legion has different dining hours. My legion does a friday dinner special, but I've never gone. Some legions do big breakfasts on the weekend. And some legions don't offer much in the way of food outside of snack foods.
