Technically in a suburb called Hales Corners, Fortune remains my favorite Chinese restaurant. They have two menu's, one serving very familiar Chinese or Chinese/American dishes such as your moo shu, curries, Hong Sue, Szechwan and Hunan dishes. The other menu serves items not found on most menus. As a reviewer noted you can have your jellyfish if you want and other things if you don't want. We passed on the spicy crispy pig intestines and ordered somewhere in the middle. It was a cross-cultural dinner what with several Roadfood folks along with some diners. We had ten people, ten different items, all to share. All, to my tastes at least were winners. We had something called seafood superior soup which was a delicate crab based soup. Some of the biggest (yet very tender) oysters I've ever seen, loaded with Chinese fermented black beans and scallions. Spicy squid, prawns and smelt along with jalapeƱo and scallions. What we call "Twinkies" but actually are battered tofu wedges filled with minced shrimp, served with a spicy dipping sauce.
