The thread was likely deleted as it seemed to be a scam (poster was named Gotschall - got ya'll). A couple of websites are selling tootsie pop drops now and on the link below, it looks like new candy. Tootsie Roll's website does not show pop drops so not sure what's going. Like the wise old owl, I know it takes three licks to get to the center of a tootsie pop. Kevin http://www.groovycandies.com/V2ProdDetail1.asp?Product_ID=10520

I just got a note earlier this week from Tootsie about it. I don't know why that earlier thread was deleted, but I reported some other spammy threads so maybe they think that I'm the bad guy here. The flavors will be chocolate, orange, grape, cherry and blue raspberry ... I don't remember a blue raspberry in the original mix. Orange has always been my favorite. I was told that they should be available in convenience stores right now.

I just got some today. They're a little different, not individually wrapped and smaller than I remember. The flavor and quality is great. The only thing that's lacking, really for me is that the Tootsie center isn't as big as I'd like.

I always loved the cherry and grape; I may have to try these! The blue ones look far too freakishly cough drop-like for me. I probably stirred it up a wee bit too much on the original thread also - for that I am sorry.
