I'll bet you have heard of Royer's in Round Top, Tx. The pies are very good (the food too). And for the unfortunate diabetics: Bud can make you a great sugar free pie, but you usually have to call ahead.
But, besides Royer's, the Burton Cafe in the nearby small town of Burton (off 290) also makes great pies. My faves are the coconut creme and the chocolate. Burton Cafe makes a killer cheeseburger and great onion rings too. I love the Burton Cafe!
