Phillipine Food ,What's it like?

I was curious if anyone knows much about the cusine of the Phillipines? Why,because in Universal City,Tx,just down the road from me,they are going to open up a fillipino restaurant at the coner of Pat Booker and Kittyhawk,behind the Taco Cabana. It was Richter's Cafe,but that folded.Have had chinese,vietnamese and japanese food,but never fillipino,so i was wondering what it was like
and if you could recomend some dishes to try.
