The Origins Of Fritos It had been a while since I sat down with a bag of Fritos Original Corn Chips, but there they were in the snack aisle in all their original simplicity and glory and I could not resist. Sometimes I like eating nostalgia and many times it is good, very good. Anyway, while munching away in front of the computer, I began thinking about the humble origins of the little snack that made a snack empire and remembered a terrific NPR piece on the origins of Fritos from October 2007. I found it on the web and thought others might enjoy it so I am posting it here. It consists of the original NPR audio along with an excellent article with photos.
