Bon Ton Mini Mart Remains Open

The Bon Ton Mini Mart (and surrounding property) in Henderson, Kentucky was auctioned off May 31st. The restaurant fell into friendly hands, and its new owner has agreed to let the Bon Ton's proprietor, George Markham, remain until his lease runs out in July 2010.
After that date, Markham has the option of continuing operating the restaurant or retiring. The retirement option is the most likely outcome. If that happens, at some point the famous Bon Ton fried chicken recipe may very well turn up in another Henderson restaurant location.

That really is terrific news Louis. Thanks for keeping us informed. Since I have never been there, I hope to make it there long before July 2010.
