What Smart Drinkers Know

What Smart Drinkers Know Well, we have had another Holiday weekend and people tend to imbibe more libations than usual. Of course, the smart imbiber eats while imbibing and this is the crux of the question. What do you snack on or eat while libations are flowing liberally? Somewhere I read that corn based snacks were best as they absorb alcohol quickly and release it slowly. I do not know if this is true, but a bag of Fritos seems to work for me when I know I will be pushing the envelope a bit. So what do you do or what do you know about the subject?

More water. The higher the alch% the higher ratio of glasses of filtered cold tap water. The older you are adds to that ratio. To answer your other question, I know nothing. This is just me.

What smart people know is not to drink and drive. I will not drive even after one beer. What we are talking about here is responsible folk that hang up the keys before imbibing and what they do. I am not talking about alcoholics or chronic drinkers here. They tend to do crazy stuff. Of course, alcohol abuse professionals are very welcome to contribute to this thread. That being said, let's go back to the original questions.

with the price of gas, most of us can't afford to drink & drive. it's one or the other, not both.
