I have quite a bit of crab, shrimp, corn, and potatoes leftover from our shrimp boil yesterday, and was thinking to make a chowder tonight. Anyone have a good recipe?

This is a quickie that yields very tasty results...... the basic recipe is as follows Quick Crab Soup 1 8 oz package Cream Cheese 2 cans cream of tomato soup 2 cans cream of celery soup 1 lb of crabmeat 1 quart half and half 3 tablespoons of Old Bay Seasoning 3/4 cup of sherry Container of sour cream In large saucepan over low heat, warm cream cheese, half and half and soups. Stir in crabmeat, sherry and heat until mixture is steaming. Serve with dollop of sour cream on top Now.........to that basic recipe, I've added shrimp, corn even chunks of fish too and had great results. I'm sure potatoes would do well too you can also omit the Old Bay and the chowder tastes more like a newburg then

I would cheat and make a package of Knorr's Newburgh sauce mix with a dash of sherry and some extra milk, then dump the leftovers in and heat.
