Fresh fruit cooler

In a local magazine, I came across a recipe for "Southwest Cooler", recommending using pureed watermelon because it is so refreshing. The recipe also suggested adding mashed strawberries and sparkling water and lots of ice. I changed that to diet Sprite (or 7 up I guess) and also squeezed some fresh lime juice. As an afterthought, I added a few blueberries, but they really didn't work. Anyway, the recipe was great!! Very refreshing. I don't have a blender, so the fruit stayed in the bottom but was delicious to eat with a spoon. Has any one tried something like this? What fruits did you use?

Motts Apple juice(the clear amber one, very cold) and 7up with some grated granny smith apples, about 1/4 of the glass with the apples. Use a spoon for that too. Its very good.
