Chocolate Shoo Fly Pie

I'm looking for a tried and true recipe. I first tried a piece from the Bird-in-Hand Bakery. I called and they no longer make it. Anyone have a tried and true recipe for this pie. Thanks so much!!!!

Barbara sorry for the delay, been out with a bad back and not able to get around much This is my granny's chocolate shoo fly pie, I hop you like Makes a 9-inch pie Preheat oven to 375 degrees Bottom layer 1 cup sugar 1 tsp corn starch 1 tsp flour 1 1/2 tsp cocoa 1 egg, beaten 1/2 tsp vanilla 1 1/2 tsp butter 1 cup water Unbaked 9-inch pie shell Top layer 1/2 cup brown sugar packed 1/2 egg, beaten 1 1/2 tsp cocoa 1/4 cup lard 1/2 cup molasses mixed with 1/2 cup hot water (dark karo works too) 1/2 tsp vanilla 1 1/4 cups flour pinch of salt 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp cinnamon Directions Bottom Layer Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and cook until thick When cooled, pour into unbaked pie shell Top Layer Mix brown sugar, egg, cocoa, lard, molasses and vanilla until well mixed Add remaining ingredients and set aside until water has cooled Pour on top of bottom layer Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes
