Toasted, steamed or right out of the package? Which do you prefer?

I toast them, then I steam them, then back in the package they go. I can't do anything right. Actually what ScreenBear said.

I honestly don't like steamed buns. They'll make me just pass by the cart. Gotta be toasted.

If I'm making dogs at home, I throw the rolls in the microwave (simulates steaming) for 20 seconds if the dogs are being prepared in water. I them on the grill or griddle if I'm grilling.

New England style buns MUST be toasted. Steamed buns are fine with NY system style weiners. At home, toasted on the grill is best.

I like the microwave method to myself. Just a few seconds to get that steamed effect. Man, do I miss Orange Julius's steamed dogs. Chicago Relish was my fave.

I have not had one since I was a kid. They had a place in one of the malls here. Was just something about the way they would steam the entire dog. My mouth waters thinking about them. I still see the stands in places like airports, but they don't sell dogs

Man, if I had an extra $1000 laying around I would own one of those puppies, pun intended.
