plain ole vanilla
1. Does anyone know how vanilla got to be the most "common" flavor? Vanilla beans/extract themself are fairly expense. (I am also curious about howcome chocolate - intereestingly, also from a bean....)
2. We sometimes think of vanilla as a throw-away flavor:
b-o-r-i-n-g. I think vanilla is a good test of good ice cream. Can anyone recommend a great place (or brand) for vanilla i.c.?
