Them ribs makes me want to go back to Tampa. Then swing to Auburndale for Peebles. Been to both to many times. No good Q here. always start the trip at Big Bob Gibson's. Then include side trip to see all the off-spring. Or is it the other way.

Not sure why, but Kojak's just seems like a great name for a ribs place. I can only hope they use the motto, "Who loves ya, baby!"

They where on Gandy Blvd. right off of Bayshore. Not much room to sit since they had an older home for the restaurant, big front porch and dining areas where the bedrooms where and living room (old cracker home)smoker out back. When the wind was right could smell for miles. Outdoor seating also. To hot in summertime even with the big oak trees around the property. Take-out was their big thing. Some days cars streched for blocks just to get on the property. Discovered them at the first RibFest,St Petersburg,FL. Years ago.
Oh by the way Marshall Tucker and 3 Dog Night played that Sat. nite.

I plan on going back to give them another try but have been there five different times in the past and they have never impressed me for que, especially ribs. If I am wrong, I will most assuredly come back here and state it. I truly hope they have gotten better. But time will tell.

Now they use to be good. Haven't been there,Kojak's, for some years always back to Lakeland and Lake Wales 5-6 times a year. Just the picture brought back memories. Moved from Tampa 6years ago.
