Porubsky's Chili

Porubsky's Deli and Chili, Topeka KS, are forgoing their traditional dates to serve chili, and as of Monday, Sept 22, Chili is back on the menu. After reading Michael Stern's review, I went there yesterday for lunch and got that news when I asked about having to wait till October 1st for Chili.

Thanks for posting that. I was in there Saturday (got a gallon of pickles) and there was no notice. I wonder if they will still only have the chili Monday - Thursday? Keith

Yep, Monday thru Thursday, but they decided with the cooler weather we have been having to start chili season early. I got a tub of pickles, and I think they are hotter than the ones they served with my sandwich. They are awesome!

They are awesome if you are really fond of horseradish. I took a pint to work once and the response was 2 or 3 people in a row thinking they were great, followed by someone who thought I had played a practical joke on them. Keith

It is. It's easier to get there since they built the new ramp, and you don't get stuck there when the trains go by anymore.
