I believe it was manufactured by Dr. Pepper, and they were available in orange and grape. (Similar to Fanta.)

I remember as a third grader (in 1966) our school had a field day, and our teachers were opening the 10 oz. bottles and handing them out to the students. That was a real treat! Imagine a 100 elementary school kids with glass bottles on the playground! But, we did it! And, I don't remember any accidents. (I also don't think there were any mothers who had the 'I don't let my kids drink soda' rule.) Oh, the memories.

    I've never heard of of it, but I did find this photo and a reference to Salute Ginger Ale. pb
