My mom found her grandmother's recipe for mincemeat--YAY!!. So we hope to start a new family tradition by getting together once a year to make some--starting this year. But we've hit a snag: When my mom gave the recipe a good look-over, she realized it was just the ingredients, nothing more.
So I am turning to my favorite roadfood cooks for some help. If you have made mincemeat before, can you let me know what all goes through the meat grinder? What gets added later? How long do you cook it for? What steps do YOU follow for your recipe!?
Help us start this new tradition! I would hate for it to die before it even gets started!
