The oldest (and now one of the newest) restaurants in Iowa, which was just rebuilt after a fire destroyed the building last year, has burnt to the ground once again. This is truely a tragedy for the area in which I live (Dubuque, Iowa region). Originally built in 1852, the restaurant operated continuously until it was destroyed by fire on Christmas Eve 2007. Many volunteers and laborers worked endless hours to once again get this business going and on June 14, 2008 reopened to the public. Unfortunately on October 24, 2008 Brietbach's once had burned down. The good news is that the owner does plan on rebuilding yet again.

Bummer, our HOGG gou rides ver here a couple times a year, it's sad to see so much trouble at one restaurant, I sure hope they ail down the cause and put fire protection in place to insure this will not happen again.
