Sandwich; Anything good in Columbus Ohio? Sun, 01/4/09 9:51 AM (permalink)
I'm somewhat new to Columbus Ohio and have yet to find a great Italian Hoagie. Anybody have suggestions? And I don't want to hear Subway (wonder bread) or Quiznos (baked).

I'm talking about a real hoagie like that of Sarcone's or Primo's in South Philly where I once lived for a couple of years.  I understand that the aforementioned are the cream of the crop, if you will, so I would not expect something here to compete with that. But, I would like to eat a hoagie that does not make me want to book a plane ticket just to get a decent sandwich.

Gee, I've been here for going on 37 years and haven't been able to find one. Your best bet? Go to Carfagna's market on 161, just east of Interstate 71 and buy the ingredients to make your own.
