Roscoe's Big Dog (Hartford, CT) Has Closed

I'm not sure this has been reported yet, but Roscoe's closed on 12/31/08.  It's a shame that Roscoe's shut its doors, I truly felt it was one of the best, if not the best, hot dog places in CT, a food for which the state is well known for.  Due to the quality of the food there, I thought that place would be around for years to come, but it never really was all that packed.

I, too, am quite saddened, because I considered Rosco's to be among the state's very best hot dogs.  But I think that Ron will be back in some capacity -- he'll find a way to return!  Happy eating, Chris

Thanks for providing the link, Chris.  I had been away from Roadfood.com and Hartford for about a month (vacationg, holidays, etc.), so I didn't catch your post on the 1st.
