I had one of my favs today at 'wichcraft (W. 20th St, NYC branch): Hot slow roast pork with red cabbage, jalenepo and mustard on a toasted cibiatta. The warmth, crust and "hotness" is grrrrreat.. mmmmm Funny thing, almost everyone else I noticed there had ordered the same thing!! But all their stuff is good. http://wichcraftnyc.com/food/ check out warmsandwiches coolsandwiches breakfast sandwiches on the site

Mr. Top Chef's sandwich shop! I've read about that place, and wish we had its equivalent here. Well, I'll have to settle for the cookbook which is being released on March 31st.

NYNM, I had this same sandwich when I visited over the summer and wrote a logbook about it. My buddy & I shared that and another sandwich, but the pork was the winner in my book. If I lived closer, I'd be going there all the time! Chris

NYNM & Ayersian: Is the red cabbage raw or cooked? How about the jalapenos?

A while ago, someone here posted a pic of their egg, lettuce, bacon and blue cheese sandwich that seemed odd but looked great. I made the same thing with havarti that is one of my faves.
