Reccomendations for expresso coffee brands, Cuban style Thu, 04/2/09 11:09 PM (permalink)
For our recent 35th wedding anniversary my wife and I got an home model expresso coffee machine complete with a steam sprout for making latte coffee or steamed hot chocolate. We like the Cuban style coffee we get around Los Angeles' Cuban eateries as well as the ones we visit when we are in South Florida. There are several Cuban bodegas and the Cuban supermarket chain Liborio's. They have several different brands and we're not sure which might be the best e.g Bustelo, Bustelo Black Label Gourmet blend, Pilon, Gavina, Goya, La Llave and one other brand I forgot to write down. We like it strong. My wife's co-worker suggested the Italian brand Medalgia D'Oro

Any reccomendations based on experience. My wife suggested we go to our 2 favorite Cuban coffee shops this weekend to see what brand they use but I like to see what others may have to say
