Hey guys, we were supposed to meet nocarolina ( Bob ) Friday at Keaton's BBQ for dinner but our plans here changed. Bob mentioned meeting Saturday at Lexington # 1 at 3:00 and it is a go as far as I know. Anyone who wants to join us, feel free to drop me a line. Bob is on the road and won't get to NC until sometime Friday and I am sure he would enjoy more company as well. Funny thing is my wife learned that people on Roadfood were good guys after meeting buffettbuster & wandering jew last month. Hope some more can meet up with us Saturday. Dennis in Cary

You guys are killing me!!! I love Lexington #1. What I wouldn't do to be there with you. If I remember correctly, the first weekend of the month, they also offer the berry cobbler. Enjoy!!!

I agree with you, BB. If there is ever a cobbler on a menu, I have to order it. And living in the South, that happens quite often. Thanks for posting the pic. I plan on being up in the Carolinas in August so will have to start making my eating plans now. Thanks again. John

Still plenty of good BBQ pork left in NC. buffettbuster I plan on ordering the cobbler Saturday along with buying a few bottles of sauce to bring home. Even though Wendy and I grew up on eastern style BBQ, we do enjoy Lexington style. very much. Dennis in Cary

I had the pleasure of having Lexington Q at a wedding reception while in Winston-Salem. I have always had the eastern Q while in N.C.-Raleigh to be exact. While I like both, I prefer Lexington for different reasons. But I do love hushpuppies.

Well we had a good time meeting nocarolina (Bob) today and enjoyed some top notch BBQ pork while doing so. He was started to get a little full as it was his 3rd meal of the day but he was a real trooped and finished off his Q. buffettbuster you are right, it was berry cobbler day and I had to have some. nocarolina and I had the berry cobbler while Wendy had the peach cobbler. It was excellent of course. I bought 3 bottles of their hot and spicy table sauce to bring home and will use it as a base for some ribs I bought on the way home today. I plan on firing up the grill, and hickory smoking a couple of racks along with a couple of Porterhouses that were on sale too. The ribs were $1.49 a pound, the porterhouses $4.99 a pound. nocarolina will be posting pics when he gets back home next week.
