A lot has changed in here since I last visited, the whole look is different and, apparenty, you cant post a description of the cooking process when starting a topic without it being moved to the recipe section, where it will be lost, unless someone specifically looks for it, and guess what... theres no hotdog keywords!!

  Sorry mods.. my bad..

ANYways.....  I had a really tasty type of hotdog the other day at a friends Memorial Day picnic, they had simmered the hotdogs in water with the full contents of 2 jars of bananna peppers and sliced onions, the drained peppers and onions were served as a relish. Super Delicious!!  Has anyone else heard of this?? What region if any is this prevalent in?

If you want more info, try and find it in the recipe section (sorry)

Dreamz, one thing that has changed here is that the food sections are supposed to be about places that serve those items. How to cook them gets moved to the "recipes & cooking" section. Some older threads have remained where they started.

I asked in the other thread what kind of hot dogs? This sounds good but I have never seen them on a restaurant menu.

We just use ol' Oscar Meyer all beef.  Any "cheaper" brands can't handle it, they'll disinegrate.  (sp?)

I didn't ask what brand of hotdog was used, I don't know that it would make a difference, this could take a medicore dog and make it a star, take a good dawg over the top!
