Got everything on one menu? Sun, 06/28/09 12:13 PM (permalink)
On our trip to Yosemite, we stopped and ate at Happy Burger Diner in Mariposa, California. It was amazing how many choices are on the menu. I wanted to sample it all, from breakfast, to ostrich burgers, to steak, to mexican food! They claim "largest menu in the Sierra". I think the might be right.
In the spirit of Roadfood, we tried many places that were recomended. Like Beans & Things in Amarrillo, Texas, and The Frontier, in Alburquerque, New Mexico. We also found Casa Bonita Family Restrant in Flagstaff, Arizona. They have the best hot sauce! You have to ask for it.They also have the largest quesadilla I have ever seen. Maby a foot across? Anyhow, didn't matter 'cause it was gone!
I have to say the best BBQ I've ever had was at the Cozy Corner in Memphis, Tennessee. It was so good that i wouldn't have any other BBQ, in fear of my experience being tarnished.
This trip was awesome. Even though we froze in our tent in Sequoia( it was 29 degrees on june 12th!), and in Yosemite. The food made all that time in the car worth it! Can't wait for the next one!

If I've learned anything from Gordon Ramsey (and this is it), it's be wary of a huge menu.  Typically they don't lead to good things.

Welcome to Roadfood!  It sounds like an amazing trip you just took.  What did you eat at The Frontier in Albuquerque?
