Madison WI hot dog loss Thu, 09/24/09 5:03 AM (permalink)
Tim Shirley, the owner of the two Madison WI  Home Depot hot dog carts (along with his wife Pat) passed away Monday. He had suffered from a rapid cancer. Hats off to Tim and his nearly 10 years of serving Madison's longest running, if inconvenient, consistently good Chicago hot dog and polish operation. No one in the history of Madison foods has run such a reliable way to get a dog for so long as Tim. Like them or not, the dogs he offered were as consistently accurate as could be. Rest in Peace.

That's a shame.  He served Best Kosher and I always tried to grab 1 or 2 dogs when I visited the East Towne location.  Will the carts still be in operation?
