No Gourmet Institute

In case anyone was planning to attend the Gourmet Institute October 24 & 25, you should know that it, like the magazine, has been canceled. Very sad. At our event on Saturday, we were planning to serve Texas brisket and sausage from Louie Mueller's, smoked salmon from the Crabpot in Oregon, and pico de gallo from Tucson; and we were going to have a boudin maker fly up from Cajun country to serve sausage and cracklin's.

That is terrible news - the bright-side is that we are optimistic they will join us for the Roadfood Festival in Louisiana. I can assure you that it will not be canceled!

What a shame. Sounds like it would have been a great event.
