Pork burger

Anybody have a good recipe for or know a place where you can get a good pork burger? Not like a pork tenderloin sandwich...but made with ground pork. We were at a place in Quebec several years ago that had an awesome pork burger, and would like to replicate it at home. Especially since I'll be off the beef version for a while at least. Any suggestions?

Have this recipe in my collection of online recipes I've snabed. Have yet to try it, but it may give you a thought to what you want! Serves 4 INGREDIENTS: 12 oz. ground pork 2 oz. fresh white breadcrumbs 1 egg, beaten 1 green chili, coarsely chopped 1 large clove elephant garlic, crushed 1/2 tsp. ground ginger 4 tbsp. cilantro, finely chopped 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. black pepper wholewheat hamburger buns, salad toppings, garlic mayonnaise and fried red onion rings to garnish coleslaw and fries to serve

Any suggestions? I sometimes use ground pork to make burgers. I grate a medium onion to mix with two-pounds of ground pork, add a teaspoon of Coleman's dry mustard, a handful of breadcrumbs, one egg, some Worchestershire sauce, pepper and salt to taste, a little garlic powder, and then mix it all together. Then I make patties and cook them.

I use as few ingredients as possible and eat without any bun.

A local supermarket sells ground pork. They also sell a ground pork/beef/lamb that is actually very good. Like Carl, I eat mine mostly plain.

Any suggestions? You will be off the beef version because of Mad Cow? Perhaps an expert can explain why pigs don't get it. People do, sheep do, deer do. Why don't pigs??

There is a place in Merriam, Kansas called RJ's Bob B Que that does a great pork burger. It's grilled over a wood fire so it's somewhat smoky. I believe it's all shoulder or pork butt. Just enough fat in it . They don't serve any condiments with it other than the usual pickles that come on the side. It really doesn't need anything else. Their fries are great, sauce is somewhat sweet, but there is a spicy version. It's right off I-35 at the Lamar exit, about 2 miles south.
