Poll -- Do You Eat Anything Special for Halloween? - Sat, 10/31/09 1:07 PM ( #1 )
Our Halloween tradition –
My wife came up with this meal when we were first married:
Hot dogs sliced lengthwise and stuffed with cheese.
Each dog is wrapped in a crescent roll and baked for the required time.
The meal includes beans and is served with beer, soda or apple cider.
We have traditionally had this almost every Halloween.  Our kids still celebrate with it in Glens Falls, Buffalo and on Guam.
Give it a try.

Just little kids who have the nerve to disturb me by ringing my doorbell.

I will try not to go into a full scale rant here, but I hate Halloween. It should be for little kids in their own neighborhood.

Van loads of  kids are driven to my neighborhood. I turned my porch light off and closed my blinds at 8:00 when I had given out over $25 of candy and was out. The last one to ring my bell and beat on the door was a little after 9:30. These are teenagers with no costumes or any pretense of a disguise.

I love seeing the little ones in their costumes, many of them homemade and very imaginative. Great fun. But the others are ruining it for them. Next year I will arrange to not be at home.
