The Front Page "Pecan Poll" - Tue, 11/3/09 11:20 AM ( #1 )
This is the first poll I have seen that I really wish had an "all of the above" option.  I love Pecans in almost every form imagined.  Everything from Salted roasted, to pies, to additions to a salad. They are my favorite nut!

I will you guys...how about a warm Pecan Sticky Bun with Butter Pecan Ice Cream on top!

I love a nice balsamic salad with blue cheese, pears and glazed pecans.

When we buy the large 'jars' of mixed nuts at Costco, I carefully sift out the pecans before anyone else can get them. I love salted Pecans !

BB, In a different catagory of nut you definitely are in the top 10 !!!

Are we discussing puh-KAHNS or PEE-cans?

I like 'em too, and the shells and wood are great for smoking chicken or pork!

Love puhcans - there's a new cookbook out called "Pecans - From Soup to Nuts"  by Keith Courrege and Marcelle Bienvenu.  I'm waiting on it from our library, as I swear I'm not buying another cookbook.

It's PEE-KANS for me !!!  However I don't care how you pronounce the name...they are wonderful !  I will never forget reading in James Mischener's "TEXAS"   about how some of the early settlers learned of the wonder of this great food!

Breyers All-Natural Butter Pecan ice cream... the best store brand that I've found so far. Not only does it taste great, it contains whole pecans and lots of them.

I agree with Mayor Al, I love pecans!  In fact, I just made a praline pumpkin pie yesterday that is just coated in pecans.

Pecans are my favorite too. I love them chopped up on cream cheese and celery, in salads, in cakes, well, just about everything.
