taylor soft serve machine help - Wed, 11/4/09 5:06 PM ( #1 )
can someone explain the differnce in terms of performance etc between the taylor 336 and 339 both are the same except the 339 has 2 compressors and uses 2 dedicated elec outlets and 336 has one compressor and one dedicated outlet? is the only difference how quick the machine can freeze? or are there other differences?

thanks

I don't have a clue but I have been looking at this type of equipment since I started looking into Milk Shakes and prices are all over the place. It seems there are a ton of soft serve machines on Ebay and other auctions, and the price range is from nothing to major dollars.

Good luck and please teach us as you gain knowledge.

Thanks

Jack

yes, both machines can produce indentical product but the 339 will have higher output and faster recovery than the 336.

Bagged and powdered mixes made for soft-serve machines  are a non-dairy mix or sometimes made from dry milk powder. The mix produces frozen treat or frozen drink shake. Not the same as ice cream or milkshakes.

Low-end  models are slower machines which can produce product with ice crystalization since there is water in the pre-mix and a lack of proper air input which will alter taste and texture.

Hi jack, I managed a Food service in a water park many years ago. We had a one Cylinder machine. There were times we had over 2000 people in the park on 100 degree days. This machine did just fine. The Machine was used for cones and with a cup adapter on a 16oz cup to make shakes on a 3 head a mixer. This will make the machine a multi use  product in your operation. The shakes were great made from softserve a bit of milk and a  good syrup..............Good luck.............Bill
