Matt Porubsky, grandson of Deli founder Charlie Porubsky, has made a documentary about his family's Deli with the above title. It premiered this week here in Topeka. I haven't seen it yet, but the trailer is on YouTube. It looks like a must-see - I had the chili there for lunch last week.

I'd love to see the finished film. Do you know when it'll be available?

A big thanks to Niagara for making us aware of this film and Bill Voss for posting the link. From the preview, this really does look like a must see for Roadfooders! BTW, I had never heard of Porubsky's referred to as a deli. Isn't it normally called Porubsky Grocery.

The west half of the building is a small grocery store, and the east half is the restaurant/tavern - they are connected by a doorway and have seperate front entrances.

EatingTheRoad I'd love to see the finished film. Do you know when it'll be available? The film premiered this week at the mega-plex here in Topeka.
