Ice Cream? Fohgetabout it. Buy Gelato

I love ice cream. Vanilla ice cream. Publix started carrying gelato a few months ago and let me tell ya, no mo ice cream round here.
 
Hooked on Gelato. They should sell t-shirts.

If you can get to Italy...I know this gelato place off the Ponta Vecchio in Florence that is the best Gelato I ever tasted...Be wary of just the term "Gelato...a name does not the ice cream make...many gelatos I've had locally are not much different from ice cream..even if in those Italian style trays....once had a Champagne Gelato in Italy to die for!!!!  That said Gelato RULES!!!!

I adore gelato. In Dallas, Natsumi Gelato is, the best!
But, then again, I'd never turn down a bowl of ice cream

How strange! Over the last month, central PA's GIANT Food Stores have started stocking Talenti Gelato.
 
Last weekend I broke down and bought the Carmel Cookie Cream. It was quite good, very dense and creamy. Of course it wasn't really the weather for it, with the temps barely making it into the high 20s.
 
I look forward to trying the Raspberry and the Peach Champagne flavors.
 
Another good brand to try is CiaoBella. I love their sorbettos, especially the Blood Orange and the Blackberry Cabernet.
