Central NJ Hot Dog Tour MAP & ADDRESSES !!!

Hi fellow hot dog lovers! MEAT UP TIME is 11:30 AM (let us know if this changes, JOHN SAGI & MATT )
I spent quite awhile putting together this map, so you can all get your bearings....
Us Jersey gals have got to be good ambassadors for our NY & PA, (& DE, MD, etc??) friends who will be joining us...
 
I will also give you all copies of this map in person..
The most IMPORTANT thing is getting to the FIRST STOP ! (cuz from there, we can give you simplified directions to the next place
down the line...
 
For those coming from NY & points NORTH : Take the GARDEN STATE PARKWAY  to EXIT 123 for ROUTE 9 SOUTH ....
you will drive about 17 miles south to NEW ENGLAND HOT DOG COMPANY......  it is just SOUTH of the FREEHOLD RACEWAY
& the Freehold Raceway MALL....
 
(MAPQUEST.com is correct, however the GOOGLE.com map is NOT to scale... cuz it is SOUTH of the racetrack , NOT north!!!)
It is in the BURLINGTON COAT FACTORY shopping center !

                                                       take exit 90 South, off G.S.P.
                                                       (chambers bridge road , which turns into hooper ave....then turn rt. on Drum Point Rd.)
 
ZUKA'S Hot Grill                              570 Fischer Blvd, Toms River, 732-608-9534
                                                       (take Hooper ave south, to Fischer Blvd)
 
                                                      after Zuka's meal, continue on Fischer Blvd to Route 37, then turn right for G.S.P.
 
DA Barsch                                      1548 Route 9, Toms River  732-240-0422, open till 5 pm Saturdays
                                                      exit 83 off of G.S.P. north...
 
                                                     After final goodbyes at DA Barsch, continue north on Rt. 9 , then take 70 east to G.S.P. NORTH
                                                     (if you are heading back home to the south or west, take Route 9 south back onto the G.S.P.

That's a great job. Even though I have my GPS its great to have an actual map in hand.  To show myself as a real tourist, G.S.P. is Garden State Parkway, right? And the first two places on the list are in shopping centers but the last three are in stand alone buildings or strip malls.

Yes ! Good points, Allan !  (Kudos to  you for reading my descriptions........)
For instance, Frankly Burgers has very poor signage, so one would probably drive right past it if they did not know it was in that
Foodtown shopping center...
 
Zuka's is almost free standing....(it's next to a Ralph's Italian Ice, for those who want to wet the palate afterwards with some
authentic Jersey water ice!)

You caught that "Joe Joe's " optional stop !!!
It is  on Route 37 East in Toms River, and has been around for a long time... real good Italian hot dogs...
my feeling is that how can one go to ZUKA'S and NOT go to Joe Joe's...??!? (cuz they are so close)
we can always "take out", if we are pressed for time to get to the German butcher shop before they close ..
 
(Joe Joe's  is by the intersection of Route 37 and Fischer Blvd...
I've been dropping by there over the years on my way to Seaside Heights ------ 
great 2 mile long boardwalk, with pizza, zeppoles, fudge, amusement rides!! )

Damn, would love to make it if I wasn't working. If you have time, Max's Famous in Long Branch does an excellent dog!!

The reason Google Maps is wrong is because New England Hot Dog Company is at 3681 Route 9, not 3651 Route 9.

So it's not the fault of Google Maps; it's a bad misprint on the New England Hot Dog Company website!!!!
(not good !!)

 

If you zoom all the way in to a Google map you can see a 360 degree view of most main highways and streets.  You can actually mouse click on the arrows and do a virtual drive around the hot dog tour.
