Is there a way to delete post that you have posted. There doesnt seem to be that option I searched the forum for answers but could not find any.

Message-Options/Manage-Message/Send-this-message-to-recycle-bin. But not all messages can be deleted. For instance, one cannot delete the root message of a thread after it has received a reply.

If you are the one who started a thread and want to retract a message, use the edit function and erase everything. Then, just put in "message redacted" or something. If you posted a duplicate thread and no one yet responded, edit the message to "Please Delete", then PM a few of the moderators.

Jp, could it be that you were not logged in when you tried to do this? Joe Ok looks like you started the same thread in 2 sections. Also looks like one is now gone. Welcome to Roadfood Jpalaniz. And maybe tell us a bit about you in the "introduce yourself" section. Joe Oh, wonder if that pizza cone would work for chili? It would have to be some thick chili. Joe

PapaJoe, The old software allowed one to delete their original post. This software package does not, even if one is logged in. The best one can do is delete all the text and insert a placeholder.

Ahh, thanks david! Kinda like the "posted without comment" thread. Moral is... be careful how you start a thread I guess. Joe But oh, what is a placeholder and how do you find one?*&^%

PapaJoe8 But oh, what is a placeholder and how do you find one?*&^% I may be wrong, but I think you may have answered your own question without knowing it. A possible placeholder = *&^% (Also sometimes known as gibberish.) Or as you said, the "Posted Without Comment" thread.
